Off the Shelf: Crossway ESV Bible Atlas

Books new and old that have caught my eye.

Crossway ESV Bible Atlas with CD-ROM

By John D. Currid and David P. Barrett

A groundbreaking resource that blends technical sophistication with readability, stunning images, and historical and biblical accuracy. Featuring regional maps detailing significant areas such as Egypt, Mesopotamia, Italy, and Greece, more than 175 color maps, dozens of photographs, 3-D recreations, and vivid narrative descriptions offer you an in-depth picture of the ancient world of the Bible. 256 pages, hardcover.

As someone who owns a boatload of Bible atlases, I can easily say this monster is the most impressive one I have seen. The Crossway ESV Bible Atlas also comes with a pullout poster / map of the Holy Land and a CD-ROM. If you can only own one Bible atlas, this is the one.
