Perhaps we should not be so quick to artificially divide issues into “social” and “economic” areas. I prefer to look at policies primarily through a moral lens—that is, asking what will best promote human dignity and flourishing in economics and in society.

You’re opinion hits dead center. It’s sad that the church was not awakened in ’74 w/Roe vs. Wade and the spiritual and human tragedy that ensued. But it’s taken a divine judgement on our economy to wake us up instead. The church in America has it’s heart in comfort, privilege, and the acquirement of stuff more than in the defense of the unborn and the increase of God’s kingdom. There’s a faithful few who are out on the front-lines fighting for life. I hope in Jesus our priorities change.
