Christopher Hitchens Talks Frankly about His Health, Prayer

Christopher Hitchens, the prominent literary critic and New Atheist, appears to be dying of cancer. In the video below, Hitchens, who has written the book God Is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, says he is aware of many people praying for his health and salvation. I am one of them.

(Here is a link to the video.)

In the spring of 2009, I had the privilege of asking Hitchens what his anti-God philosophy offers the poor and the weak, given that Christianity has offered hope to millions. Hitchens artfully dodged the question. Let us also pray that he finally faces it, and others like it, in whatever time he has left.
