Unserious

Last night the Spender in Chief said it’s time for the government to start living within its (our) means. This, after running up $3.4 trillion in new debt just in the last two years. To top it off, he wants, not to cut spending, but to freeze the current high level of spending on everything but the military (which he now likes because of his new “Do Ask, Do Tell” policy). In all this Mr. Obama shows that he is fundamentally unserious about the nation’s fiscal crisis. A missed opportunity for the president to use his bounce in the polls for good. Looks like the Republicans will have to drag him kicking and screaming to do the right thing.
