Occupy Exit

Authorities are mercifully closing down Occupy protests in Oakland and New York. I say “mercifully” because it is going to get cold, at least out east, very soon. The Occupy protesters have no real strategy or plan to get what they want–if they even know what they want–other than the equivalent of holding their breath ’til they turn blue. That’s not how things get done in this country. They need to get their educations, get whatever jobs are available, pay their bills as best they can, and support candidates and policies to address the very real issues we all face as a people. Once they start acting responsibly, I expect more than a few of them to become conservatives.
