Permanent Campaign

Last night President Obama was back in Chicago for yet another series of fundraisers with “fat cats” and other members of “the 1 percent” (one event cost $35,000 per couple) in the sacred cause of his permanent campaign and its $1 billion war chest. His hypocrisy is well known, of course, but I want to know if the man is giving taxpayers 40 hours of work for 40 hours of pay. What with all the money-grubbing, vacations, and golf outings, I’m guessing that most of us put in more actual work than does our commander in chief.
