By James Taranto

Jeff Bell, an ‘early supply-sider,’ on the roots of American social conservatism—and why the movement is crucial to building a Republican majority.

I cannot believe how unskilled he seems to be in answering questions, allowing himself to say unwise things about the president’s “phony theology” or against prenatal testing. Santorum has a small window of opportunity to define himself for the American people, or the media will gladly do it for him.
