Before Mitt Romney gave his big speech the other night, he shook hands with well-wishers on his way to the podium–as if this was a State of the Union address. Barack Obama must’ve been appalled. Then, the next morning, Romney and Paul Ryan unexpectedly flew to Louisiana to inspect the storm damage–beating a complacent Barack Obama there by three days. I love to see Romney taking the fight to the president, who seems to be caught flatfooted a lot these days. Control the news and you control the campaign.
