The Dumb Vote

By Kevin D. Williamson

In crisis, Democrats turn to their fundamental constituency.

I think a lot of “dumb” Obama voters do indeed suffer from an IQ deficiency–think of the embarrassing “Obamaphone” lady. Others, however, are dumb in terms of practical wisdom–believing, for example, that being in favor of “the poor” in theory means that you must support a president who in actuality has presided over the creation of 15 million more food-stamp recipients in four years–or in terms of moral vision–believing that Mr. Obama’s progressive positions on taxation, abortion, and “gay marriage” trump everything else.

Dumb.
