This morning when I went to my polling place–inside a local church down the street–I reflexively pulled my wallet out of my back pocket to produce my ID, before remembering that our election law has dispensed with such bourgeois niceties. All the election judges needed was my signature. Then I realized that each of them was wearing a name tag. So while they didn’t need to verify who I was, I needed to verify who they were.
Tell me again why voter IDs are bad?
