President Obama says we need a “balanced approach” to deal with the sequester–with both tax increases and spending cuts. Well, when we faced the so-called fiscal cliff in December, we got tax increases and no spending cuts. He must think the voters have no short-term memory (and he may be right). We don’t need any more of that kind of balance. If we want real balance, as the president says he does, then now’s the time to cut spending.
