“Commonsense”

President Obama had an unpresidential tantrum yesterday when the Democratic-controlled Senate failed to pass a gun-control law. I for one am glad. The “commonsense” bill he touts would’ve done nothing to prevent atrocities such as Newtown even while infringing on people’s Second Amendment rights to protect themselves. We shouldn’t allow liberals to exploit crises like this (such as by putting Newtown parents in the Senate gallery) to accrue ever more power unto themselves at our expense. The president, through his own words and actions, has lost the benefit of the people’s doubt.
