I, Saul: A Novel
By Jerry B. Jenkins, with James S. MacDonald
Told from the point of view of the disciple Luke, the apostle Paul and “Augie,” a modern-day scholar, I, Saul, is a fast-paced story of intrigue and mystery. Readers will be reminded of Indiana Jones and The Da Vinci Code as they become absorbed in this page-turner by a master storyteller. Along the way they will enjoy a novelist’s view of the life of Saul, who relentlessly persecuted Christ’s followers prior to his conversion.
Jerry sent me an advance reader copy of this book, which is due in stores on August 27. My daughter, Laura, a big Jerry Jenkins fan, read it in a day and said it is terrific. I’m planning on reading it during a family vacation next month at and around Sleeping Bear Dunes in northern Michigan. I’ll give you my thoughts by the pub date but expect this will be another winner from Jerry.
