I expect Chris Christie knew about, and even ordered, the bridge lane closures as a form of political payback. How could he not, if he’s half the executive he’s led all of us to believe? And if he did, then his career is finished, and rightly so. But contrast the media’s frenzy over “Bridgegate,” ultimately a petty political story, with its indifference over (just to take one example) Mr. Obama’s far more serious misuse of the IRS against political opponents during an election year.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a free and impartial press?
