Lame

The lame-duck session of a legislature should never be used to pass major items, yet Illinois Democrats continue to use this ploy to rule against the will of the people. They passed a 67-percent “temporary” income tax increase in 2011 and would like to pass a massive increase in the minimum wage in the lame-duck session this year. Legislators are free to vote their consciences, but they are not free to escape accountability for their votes.
