I’ve always seen the bad news inherent in Matthew 12:31 but until now have completely overlooked the good: “Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.”
Think of it–forgiveness for “every sin and blasphemy” is available to anyone who asks. Nothing–not even blasphemy against God Himself (save for a sin that probably cannot be committed in our day and age)–is beyond the scope of God’s forgiveness, because of Christ’s sacrifice.
So come to your heavenly Father. Ask. You will be forgiven, no matter what you have said or done.
