You clean up the kitchen (even when it’s not yours). You apologize when you mess up. You forgive (even when the other person doesn’t deserve it). You express gratitude daily (and mean it). You drink a lot of coffee. You control your tongue (even when you have a really great one-liner ready). You go to church (even when you don’t feel like it). You go to McDonald’s because that’s what the kid wants. You keep your word (even when it’s inconvenient). You change the diaper, scoop the poop, and wipe the vomit. You don’t sleep past eight (except on weekends). You experience random pains (and rarely complain about them). You replace the vacuum cleaner instead of the flat screen.
