The poverty rate last year jumped to 14.3 percent nationally, up 13.2 percent (and 3.8 million people) over 2008. This means one in seven Americans is now living in poverty.
A lot of good-hearted people voted for Barack Obama and the Democrats because of the assumption that they would help America’s poor. Instead, they have made the highest of number us poor since 1959. We’re going in the wrong direction, agreed?
