The nation’s largest charities took a big hit last year to the tune of billions, says a just-released Chronicle of Philanthropy report.
According to the Chronicle‘s “Philanthropy 400,” donations to the largest 400 charities dropped by 11% as a result of continued economic troubles last year — the worst decline in 20 years.
