One of the Democrats’ criticisms of the tea party candidates is that they are ordinary people who don’t know how “Washington works.” (Of course, the critics who say this are the same ones who criticize “career politicians” and “special interests” all the time.) Conclusion? This country is headed for fiscal disaster because of too much spending. And Barack Obama is right: He is the one driving us toward it, with his pedal to the metal, and the Republicans have indeed been in the “back seat.” If you want us to careen over the cliff, by all means, vote Democrat on Tuesday.
