This morning I heard an American expat in Tokyo say that as she was running down the street in search of her kids during the earthquake, the trees were swaying even though there was no wind. While we cannot draw a direct link to any particular “act of God” and punishment for specific sins (because if God constantly punished our sin, we would all be dead already), I think it is safe to say that the wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against men, who have suppressed the truth in their unrighteousness. Lord, let us remember that the fear of you is the beginning of wisdom.
