The End of an Era

The last time we endured $4 a gallon gas, the press had a field day, accusing George W. Bush of being out of touch or, worse, in league with the evil oil companies. Now that Barack “It was like this when I got here” Obama sits in the Oval Office, however, suddenly the oldline media are talking about the “era of $4 gasoline” as an unavoidable fait accompli. Well, don’t worry, America. The era is likely to be over all too quickly. Soon we will be entering the era of $5 a gallon gasoline.
