Guests

Don’t look at financial or personal challenges as unwelcome intruders in your life that must be shown the door as soon as possible. Look at them as guests–difficult guests, yes–sent from a loving God for his good purpose. You can’t shut them out, so invite your problems in and learn from them. They will go away when they are ready, and you will be wiser, stronger, and more at peace.

As Hebrews 12:7 says, “It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?”
