On the Ledge

In his secular liberal arrogance–notwithstanding his self-identification as a Christian–President Obama may have gotten more than he bargained for in dissing the Catholic Church and attempting to infringe on its religious liberty. There are a lot of drones in this society who will thoughtlessly go along with whatever Mr. Obama proposes, but it is good to see that the Catholics still have some standards. Whether the president has the ideological flexibility to step away from the pro-choice ledge he has put himself on remains to be seen. If he doesn’t, the 2012 race could get very interesting.
