There are many reasons Donald Trump is winning right now, and no one really knows whether his campaign for president will have staying power. But one reason people are gravitating to him is that he appears fearless against the enforcers of political correctness in the media and in the political establishment. When he gets called on the words he uses, Trump, unlike most politicians, refuses to back down. He doesn’t cringe, he doesn’t apologize, he doesn’t explain what he really meant. He sticks to his guns, and the enforcers actually back down. As much as I distrust the man, I find that refreshing. Too bad the compromising Republicans have forgotten how to do this. No wonder they are trailing Trump.
