Tony Campolo, RIP

The Rev. Tony Campolo passed into the presence of Jesus this week. While he can be faulted for some of his ideas and actions (can’t we all?), no one can doubt his passion for the Lord and for the poor made in God’s image. For that, well done, faithful servant.

I just hope he wasn’t carried to the cemetery in a BMW.

(In the comments, you will find a link to a critical column I wrote about him years ago. Looking back on it, I’m surprised and grateful that CT allowed it to be published.)
