Going Down

Friday, May 4th, 2012

Hey, the jobless rate went down again! Unfortunately, that’s because more and more people are simply giving up looking for work. If everyone just quits trying to find a a job, the rate will go down to zero–the best ever. So it’s time for Obama Democrats to do their 2012 duty and drop out of the work force entirely. Remember, what’s bad news for you is good news for Mr. Obama’s re-election.

Update: Just heard that if the same number of people were in the labor market now as when Mr. Obama took office, the unemployment rate would be 11 percent.

Heavy Debt

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012

Our government’s disgraceful handling of Chinese human rights advocate Chen Guangcheng couldn’t have anything to do with our nation’s heavy indebtedness to the communist bankers … could it?

Not Working

Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012

After yet another paltry jobs report, is it time for the president’s supporters to finally admit that what he’s doing isn’t working?

Spiked

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

Hey, I heard a rumor that Obama “got” Osama. I just hope our humble leader isn’t tempted to “spike the football” for political purposes on this first anniversary.

Barack vs. George?

Monday, April 30th, 2012

President Obama’s pitch to voters is “Don’t return to Bush”? Really? I knew he was out of touch; 100 rounds of golf and 17 vacations in just three and a half years can do that to a person. Someone needs to tell the smartest man ever to occupy the Oval Office that he is running against Mitt Romney–and against his own record. In any event, I think after four years of Mr. Obama, a lot of people would welcome back a flawed George W. Bush with open arms.

Achievement

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Among the “achievements” Barack Obama is claiming for his administration is the expensive bailout of GM (a policy started by none other than George W. Bush). Well, if the bailout is such a success, why are people holding onto their used cars longer and buying fewer new ones?

Key Issue

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

If we’re going to choose a president based upon whether he appears on a third-rate late-night comedy show (and how funny he is), then we might as well hand over the keys to China.

Illegal

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

Today the Supreme Court is hearing arguments concerning Arizona’s attempt to enforce federal immigration law. The Obama administration, pandering for Hispanic votes, has taken the state to court, but you can’t say it isn’t doing anything about illegal immigration. The economy here is so bad, Mexicans are heading back home in record numbers. The problem will occur when Americans start following them.

Bankrupt

Tuesday, April 24th, 2012

Social Security now will go bust three years earlier than expected just last year. Why people didn’t expect this I don’t know. We keep raiding the “trust fund,” and people who can’t or won’t work are claiming disability in increasing numbers. And now the powers that be are ruminating about taxing our 401-k’s, which are our only defense against a bankrupt Social Security system. And President Obama’s plan to cut spending on a $3.7 trillion federal budget? Uh, he doesn’t have one–not one dollar can be cut, apparently.
