Gloomy Fourth

Does anyone else get the feeling that this Independence Day we are at a national transition point? We are either going to have to turn things around, or our way of life as an exceptional nation will soon be over. The worst part is, if this happens, that a foreign invader did not do it to us. We did it to ourselves.
