The Illinois Supreme Court unanimously ruled yesterday that Rahm Emanuel remains a resisident and did not lose his right to run for mayor of Chicago after living in D.C. for the last two years, even though the statute clearly says he must live in the city for one year prior. That’s great. I wonder if I can remain a taxpayer in good standing even if I decide not to pay Gov. Pat Quinn’s 67 percent tax increase.
