Bad Shot

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is attempting to overturn legal precedent and allow the names of registered gun owners to be made public. What public benefit would come from such an action is unknown, but I’m sure criminals are cheering the move. They will be able to know (1) which homes have guns in order to steal them and (2) which homes do not have guns in order to break into them without fear.

This move shatters the Democrat Madigan’s carefully crafted image as a centrist. The only thing I can figure is that she is contemplating a run for higher political office and wants to fire up (pardon the pun) her leftwing base. Whatever happened to the right to privacy? I guess for Democrats it only matters when it comes to abortion or sexual deviancy.
