Time to Defund NPR

In another sting operation, an NPR fundraiser named Ron Schiller told someone he thought was a potential Muslim Brotherhood donor, “The current Republican Party is not really the Republican Party. It’s been hijacked by this group that is … not just Islamophobic but, really, xenophobic,” Schiller said. “They believe in sort of white, middle America, gun-toting – it’s scary. They’re seriously racist, racist people.” Schiller also said, “”The Tea Party is fanatically involved in people’s personal lives and very fundamental Christian. I wouldn’t even call it Christian. It’s this weird evangelical kind of move.”

These are the people who receive federal (taxpayer) money to give us a fair and intelligent take on the news? Not good timing for them, when momentum is building in Congress to defund them. Let’s hope it happens. NPR is free to be arrogant and anti-Christian. But the rest of us don’t have to pay for it, especially when we’re already broke.
