This week on Inside Look With Greg Wheatley, a conversation about the Christian and evangelism. Jerry Root and Stan Guthrie believe that telling others the good news about Jesus should be a natural part of the Christian’s life—so natural, in fact, that they call it “the sacrament of evangelism.”
Dr. Jerry Root is an associate professor at Wheaton College where he teaches graduate courses in the M.A. in Evangelism Program as well as courses in the undergraduate Christian Formation and Ministry Department. In addition, Jerry is a visiting professor at Biola University and Talbot Graduate School of Theology in La Mirada, Calif. Jerry has written C. S. Lewis and a Problem of Evil: an Investigation of a Pervasive Theme, and is the co-author and co-editor of The Soul of C. S. Lewis: A Meditative Journey through Twenty-six of His Best Loved Writings. He is co-editor, with Wayne Martindale, of the best-selling and award winning The Quotable Lewis. Jerry is also the consulting editor of the new Harper Collins’ C. S. Lewis Bible.
Stan Guthrie is editor at large for Christianity Today magazine. His latest book, All that Jesus Asks: How His Questions Can Teach and Transform Us, was recently released by Baker. Stan is also author of Missions in the Third Millennium: 21 Key Trends for the 21st Century. Stan writes the monthly “Priorities” column for BreakPoint.org and produces monthly opinion pieces for Crosswalk.com. Besides writing and editing books, Stan is a literary agent, bringing together authors, books and publishers.
