The man who hunted Osama bin Laden

By ADAM GOLDMAN and MATT APUZZO – Associated Press

After Navy SEALs killed Osama bin Laden, the White House released a photo of President Barack Obama and his Cabinet inside the Situation Room, watching the daring raid unfold.

Hidden from view, standing just outside the frame of that now-famous photograph was a career CIA analyst.

This article gives credit to the real hero of the bin Laden takedown–not Barack Obama, but a CIA analyst who began the search during the Bush administration, shortly after 9/11. Yes, the current president gave the go-ahead, but does anyone seriously doubt that the previous one wouldn’t have? Also, this piece shows that, despite all the credit Obama receives for his anti-terror policies, the escalation of Predator drone attacks actually began under Bush.

So congratulations to President Obama for continuing to implement Bush’s foreign policy.
