Who Is Obama?

So many well-meaning people hoped that Mr. Obama would not be what he so obviously is: an inexperienced, incompetent, inflexible ideologue.

It’s amazing that so many liberals think the president is not liberal enough. There’s Obamacare (rammed through on a one-party vote and against the expressed will of the voters), Stimulus I, Stimulus II, his fixation on “green jobs,” cap and trade (which even his own party wouldn’t give him), his opposition to DADT, his many payoffs to the unions, exploding deficits, higher taxes, demonizing the rich, protecting illegal immigration, etc. For two years he got almost whatever he wanted. Now, he must actually negotiate with Republicans, and the left is upset? They are hard to please!

If the president were to break the liberal mold and do the right thing for the country, he would probably win next year. Instead, he is going to stay the course and try to win ugly, by attacking the Republicans and the Tea Party through fear mongering. This is doubly tragic. Not only does it cause untold millions to suffer in this economy, it squanders the historic opportunity he had as the nation’s first black president.

He is too small for the job. How sad for all of us.
