Hadiya

Besides the personal but (for Chicago residents) all-too-familiar personal tragedy, the shooting death of beautiful Hadiya Pendleton, 15, who performed at the president’s inauguration, is bad pub for Barack Obama and Mayor Emanuel. Perhaps that’s why they are fulminating about the need for even more gun control in the city with the strictest gun laws in the nation. Yet they are unwilling to think outside the standard liberal box and talk about the need for stronger families, more police, and people’s right to bear arms for self-protection. If gun control were the answer, Hadiya Pendleton would be alive today.
