Inappropriate

President Obama just doesn’t get it when it comes to radical Islam. Yesterday, at the National Prayer Breakfast no less, he attempted to assuage Muslim sensibilities over ISIS atrocities by pointing out the obvious, that people have committed horrors in the name of Christ, too (though most of them a long time ago). This tracks with his persistent narrative that Islam is really a peaceful and tolerant religion, and that ISIS is an aberration in the House of Islam.

Mr. President, these one-sided remarks were inappropriate for the occasion, and they do nothing to address the raging battle for the soul and direction of Islam. If you are auditioning to be the spokesman for worldwide Islam, please do it on your own time.
