Looks like I’m going to have a dental procedure (kind of a root canal) tomorrow morning at 10:30, and then another after that. The long and short of it is that the nerve in one of my back teeth in my jaw is dying or dead, and the tooth itself is cracked and infected. A root canal and a cap may do the trick, or they may decide the tooth cannot be saved and just pull it. I’m not sure if or how long I’ll be out of it, and then I’ll need to schedule another procedure (I hope for this week).
The pain is intermittent and can be extremely intense. Frankly, it made me cry this morning. Very sensitive to hot and cold, as well as when I bite down. I’m going to get on penicillin to address the infection.
