Joe Biden always has someone or something else to blame for the string of calamities occurring on his watch: Putin, greedy oil companies, the war in Ukraine, “meat conglomerates,” the pandemic, Trump, even “people’s psychology.” Nothing is ever his fault; it’s always the other guy.
Even in a best-case scenario in which all this self-serving blame-shifting were 100 percent accurate (hint: it isn’t), we still would be left with a president who is slave to the actions and events of others. In short, we would have a leader who cannot lead.
We elect presidents to guide us through crises, not complain about them and claim our hands are tied. One final thought: What if Biden were president during the Civil War, World War II, or the Cold War? What do you think our country would look like today?
Elections matter.
