Vermeer and The Seven Last Words

One of the great privileges I have been afforded is to be a reader at several performances of Haydn’s Seven Last Words of Christ, performed by the renowned Vermeer String Quartet, which I did last Easter season at Saint James Cathedral in Chicago. While I won’t be part of the performance this year, I wanted to share the flier below so that you will be encouraged to attend if possible. Scheduled for Tuesday, April 3, at 8 p.m., it promises to be an evening not to be missed. (Come early for a pre-concert lecture from Richard Young.)
